Well… it's just a generic natural wine. Maybe not as wild as when it first arrived, but let's be honest - whatever trace of grape or place this could carry is not here. Is it Pinot? Is it Burgundy? Who knows. It's not terrible, not flawed, just… there. Easy to drink by the bottle, and if you're reaching for something loud, I'd still take this over some over-extracted, over-oaked brute.
But in a world full of truly good wine, this one doesn't quite earn its place.
A jumble of red berries, VA, sweat, farmyard, and some dark berries. All delivered with a shout, nothing really integrated - a patchwork, not a narrative. It's fresh, bright, relatively juicy, with high acidity, but overall feels flat and disjointed.
I do prefer Allez Goûtons.
