Good ol’ typical Pinot Noir from Marlborough with expected notes of strawberry jam, some dark berries and wet forest floor. Smooth, almost silky on the palate, long aftertaste with flavours of strawberry stew mixed with sweet tobacco and wet earth. Yummy. Finished bottle without noticing it.

Lovely. Not complicated, yet pleasant nose. Strawberry jab, dark berries, underbrush and hints of sweet tobacco. Smooth, medium body, long aftertaste. Delivers exactly what you would expect from basic New Zealand Pinot Noir.

Not sure what happened, but not as lovely as it used to be. It’s flat, and it lacks balance. But at least it provides all the typical things one would expect from Marlborough Pinot Noir. Well balanced and flavourful. Berries, underbrush and hints of blood.
