Look, this wine is better than I expected, but I do think it could be better. A contradicting duality, indeed. Just like this wine. The nose is a captivating blend of aromas, including dill, mint, pine, a touch of damp cellar, and apricot compote. However, on the palate, it lacks depth and complexity, reminiscent of sipping overly sweet apricot compote. The decision to fortify the wine raises questions鈥攑erhaps it lacked body before fortification was considered. Overall, it leaves one with mixed feelings, independent of its price, which, incidentally, is absurdly high.
