During a small tasting with those new to Champagne, I opened this bottle to showcase some development, intensity, and oxidation as a contrast to the entry-level, young bottles we had tried. This wine certainly delivered. It offers aromas of honey, cider, baked cheese chips, and white flowers. On the palate, it is intense and rich, with good acidity that enhances the baked apple flavors. Despite being easy to understand and delicious, it offers a satisfying level of complexity, making it an impressive choice for the tasting (I mean, folks were impressed hehe).
