Beta Crux Corte Uco II - 2013

Tasted blind, I accurately identified its South American origin, but the wine's youthful character belied its 11 years. It's a fruit-forward explosion with prominent oak, jammy notes, and an array of spices. Despite its nearly 15% ABV, it maintains a commendable balance. The palate is syrupy, powerful, and intense, with a voluminous body that occupies all the space. While not exceptionally complex at this stage (will it?), it would undoubtedly make a heavenly pairing for a steak party.
