Revisiting this exquisite wine after experiencing the challenging range by Yann Durieux is like a soothing balm. It entices with a sexy bouquet, brimming with ripe fruits, a whisper of smoke, the earthiness of a wet forest floor, red fruit jam, and red flowers. The complexity and deliciousness of the aromas are remarkable. On the palate, it's a symphony of silkiness, roundness, and near-perfect balance. This wine strikes a delightful harmony between being effortlessly enjoyable and intriguingly complex. Truly, it's a great bottle, standing out for its refined and alluring qualities.
The highest Cru of Beaujolais (in terms of altitude). Good respected producer. Beautiful bouquet of plum, smoke, chocolate and wet tree bark. Fresh, juicy, well balanced, sophisticated and delicate. Nice.
Tasted as part of Bane of Beaujolais event.
