Tasting Notes
This wine presents a challenging experience; it seems corked, with unmistakable notes of wet dog and curry mingling with red fruits. But I was the only one to feel it. There's a touch of Jerez and a wet cellar aroma. Yet, paradoxically, it's intriguingly complex and delicious. The long aftertaste is mineral-rich and salty, with hints of rose petals. A pronounced bitterness adds to the complexity, leaving me torn between dislike and admiration. It's a wine of contrasts and confusions, offering a uniquely perplexing yet captivating tasting experience, which differs from the previous bottle of this wine.
This is an incredible 16-years-old rosé. Sophisticated and multilayered. Dehydrated strawberry, caramel, crème brûlée, nuts, peach-flavoured ice tea, toast and bitter herbs. Good acidity, flavourful, almost perfectly balanced, and persistent. And a great value.
