Hehe, this magnum is full of water from Carpathian streams - a bit smelly and alarming (so you check if you got the right pills with you), yet so desirable. An interesting bouquet of raw meat, canned feijoa, and cherry plum with some reductive notes. Mineral and fizzy mouthfeel with texture influenced by lees. Lovely finish of buckwheat bread, nuts and amber.

About

It is not clear if Melon-Queue-Rouge is a distinct grape variety or just a stain of Chardonnay that happens to have red stalks. INAO doesn't recognize it as a distinct grape, so some producers from Jura simply label the cuvée with the unofficial grape name.
