La Turque from Côte Brune is a blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, originating from vines that are over 25 years old and rooted in silicone limestone with schist-producing clay soil, abundant in iron oxide. The winemaking process involves the use of thermoregulated stainless steel tanks and automated punching down to enhance extraction. The blend undergoes alcoholic fermentation coupled with a four-week maceration period. This meticulous process is followed by a substantial aging phase of 42 months in new oak barrels.

This wine presents itself as a more developed and smoked version of the '13, offering a unique twist on its predecessor. Despite some opinions suggesting the bottle might not be in ideal condition, particularly noting a somewhat flat aftertaste compared to other Guigal wines sampled that evening, it still provides a great tasting experience.
The bouquet is intriguing, with smoked cherry, dried flowers, and an abundance of spices. On the palate, it impresses with its silky, juicy, and complex nature. However, the slightly shorter and less impressive finish does affect the overall score, even though the wine still stands out.
