Since 2022, Rozas has transitioned from being a Premier Cru to a village wine hailing from Rozas de Puerto Real, crafted from five distinct vineyards. Compared to La Bruja, Rozas presents itself as more delicate yet also more structured and intriguing, though it may not be as immediately approachable (time-wise). The nose is still slightly restrained, and the palate feels tight鈥搃t just needs time for further development.
The bouquet is beautiful and slightly perfumed, offering notes of pomegranate, strawberry, red flowers, earth, and spices, with a touch of barnyard and gouache adding complexity. On the palate, it is chalky with a somewhat powdery texture, bearing a juicy, subtle, and ethereal quality. A hint of bitterness graces the finish, complemented by notes of dark chocolate. Overall, it is a gorgeous wine with remarkable potential.
