Expressive and voluminous. At first, it might scare off because of VA, but let it breathe a little bit to open up. Quite sophisticated. Almond, bruised apples, baked apples, honey, dried fruits, pickles, raw dough, and sunflower oil. Good balance, fresh thanks to medium+ acidity. The finish is rather heavy, but overall it's delicious.

It is hard to stay objective when it comes to iconic producers, especially when you don't like them haha. I had several disappointing experiences with Frick wines, but somehow decided to give his sparkling a try. And I am happy because it turned out to be an expressive, deep and sophisticated Cremant with honey, grass, dough, almond, dried yellow fruits and subtle hints of pickles. Well balanced, tasty and interesting. Sky rocket QPR.

The Frick vineyards span a variety of limestone terrains across a 15 km expanse, featuring distinguished plots like the Grand Cru Steiner (Pfaffenheim), Grand Cru Vorburg (Ruffach), and Grand Cru Eichberg (Eguisheim), among others.
