Incredible concentration and richness with pleasant traces of ageing. Nuanced and detailed bouquet of apple tart, cider, damp cellar, chalk, lemon, ginger, and bitter herbs. On the palate, it's intense, structured, and balanced with high, pitchy acidity and a bit of a smoky and persistent finish with notes of apple tart, ginger, chalk, and jam. Delicious and quaffable.
100% Chardonnay; south-west-facing single-vineyard Dizy of 1 hectare on the boundary with Aÿ. The vines are planted in 1960 on millstone-grit gravel over clayey marl, followed by Campanian chalk. Vinification and ageing in oak casks on the less. Zero dosage. 3368 regular bottles and 200 magnums produced.
