Not much is known about the technical aspect of Les Mariés (the wedding). The grapes are sourced from somewhere in Languedoc-Roussillon from vines growing on clay-limestone soils. The fruits are pressed with a pneumatic press, fermented in cold temperatures and aged in tanks/vats.

You don’t expect much from an $8 wine, so it’s always refreshing when such wines deliver. Of course, it’s not complex. Of course, it has minor issues. But look, it makes a decent pair for a lazy evening after work. Peach, grapefruit, grass, and gooseberry. On the palate, it’s round and more voluminous than I would expect. Intense and fresh. It has pleasant mineral touch and flavours of lime, peach and gooseberry with a less pleasant bitterness. The aftertaste could be longer, but well…

Wine #2 on Norm Wines Vol. 1.
Entry-level Sauvginon Blanc from Languedoc-Roussillon. Fruit-forward and simple. Peach, grapefruits, and gooseberry (black currant leaves?). A little bit shy when chilled too much, but opens up quickly to show volume and intensity. The aftertaste is enjoyable but rather short.
