This time I was serving this wine, so I had a chance to witness its evolution during aeration (say hello to our little decanter). Hard to drink straight after uncorking. But 2+ hours in decanter makes a huge difference. Still a powerful and almost full-bodied blend. Oak is so apparent here, but quite well integrated. Ripe cherries, figs, and coffee. Not complex, mostly fruit-forward.
Unexpectedly good. I am going to take a few bottles and serve one of them blindly to my friends. So be prepared. Unlike most other wines by Beykush, this one is not over-oaked. Charming nose with ripe wild cherry, fig, red flowers, and coffee. Quite juicy, medium to full body with good tannin. The aftertaste is rather long and fruitful (man, the black currant juice). Definitely worth checking.
