This wine boasts a charming and complex bouquet, featuring an intriguing mix of cone jam, pine nuts, red flower jam, and wild strawberry. Its structure is commendable, showcasing near-ideal balance. The wine is powerful yet delicate, with nicely matured tannins and a perfumed finish that speaks to its elegance. Intriguingly, there are notes of Madeira in the finish, which might raise questions about its future potential, but for today, it adds a fascinating layer. Drinking this after two bottles of Magma offered an interesting contrast, underscoring its unique character and appeal.
Sexy and sophisticated wine from ~150 and 80 years old vines. Pine, barnyard, plum, cranberry, strawberry. Meditative wine, medium light, ephemeral. Flavours of pine and strawberry-plum pie. Long aftertaste, silky and elegant, but still profound. Not typical Grenache from Barossa (Vine Vale).
