Βιδιανό - Ασύρτικο (Vidiano - Assyrtiko)

Small production, talented people behind (oenologist Iliana Malihin and vinegrower Spyros Chryssos), a unique blend of pre-phylloxera Vidiano from Fourfouras in Crete and Assyrtiko from Louros in Santorini. All that sounds so much better than the result of their hard work. I hate to give low ratings, but... How can I help if it tastes like rotten mountain water with a flabby palate? Unfortunately, I know how it tastes, and my only instinct is to take some anthelmintic drugs now. This wine lacks acidity, the palate is vapid, and the aftertaste is short. Shame.

P.S. On [2022-07-26 Tue] Christos Fatouros reported that 80% of these old pre-phylloxera Vidiano vines are destroyed by wildfires.
