The Champagne Les Quatre Terroirs N°20 by Georges Remy is crafted from the domaine’s vineyards, spanning four villages: Bouzy, Ambonnay, and Louvois—all classified as Grand Cru—and the Premier Cru village of Tauxières.
This cuvée is based on the 2020 harvest, with 6% reserve wines from 2019 and 2018. The blend consists of 73% Pinot Noir and 27% Chardonnay. Vinification and sur lie ageing are carried out entirely in barrels. With a dosage of 0 g/l, this is a Brut Nature Champagne. Additionally, no filtration is performed, allowing the wine to retain its natural character.
Ratings
This wine is vibrant, complex, and continuously evolving. The intricate nose showcases aromas of pastille, chausson aux pommes, wet limestone, wet chalk, salted butter, red currant, and subtle vegetal notes. On the palate, it is lively with a precise mineral backbone and hints of Jerez in the finish. The oak integration is particularly noteworthy—distinct yet never overpowering, adding depth without opulence. Vinous and delicious–I hope to give it another try in the future.
