Nerello Mascalese comes from the northern slopes of Etna - Contrada Sciaranuova, Piano Dario, Rampante. Vines were planted in 2004 and 2007. Wine is fermented for 6 days and aged in 25 hl oak casks for 12 months.

100% Nerello Mascalese. Pale garnet colour. Shy in the nose. Strawberry, forest floor, gravel, and pepper. More powerful than I expected it to be. Voluminous, well-balanced with a warm and long aftertaste.
