Riparosso

Lovely table wine. Fruit-forward with some rustic charm. It lacks balance, but the combination of acidity, tannin and fruit quality makes it a good company for food.

Riparosso is about QPR. It's also about taste rather than smell (oops). For being inexpensive and reliable, it won a place in my heart (stomach?). Juicy and fruit-driven. Cherries, plums and violets. Almost full-bodied, round and well-balanced with a long aftertaste. Any flavours? Yes, of course! Cherry, liquorice and smoke.
