It is more cured than I remember. Yet it still offers the same charming mix of sour cherry, violets, underbrush, musk and white pepper. Sophisticated and interesting Méncia-blend. Fresh, juicy and well-structured.
A lovely Méncia-based blend from Ribeira Sacra made of 60+ years old vines. Charming and full of character bouquet. It opens up beautifully with sour cherry and violets, only to reveal wet leaves, chocolate crumbs, white pepper, and vegetables afterwards. It's medium-bodied, fresh, juicy and silky, with good fruit and intense flavours touched by VA. It has a slightly cut aftertaste. Overall it's a delicious and sophisticated wine. Nice.
