Absolutely fantastic right now. Five years post-disgorgement and the reserve wines are doing serious work here - smoked cheese, canelé, cream, baked pear, roasted peanut, with subtle flowers and chalk underneath. Lush and generous but never vulgar. A beautiful combination of creamy texture, real body, and bright acidity. Long, broad, multilayered finish. One of those champagnes that just makes you happy to be drinking it here and now.
A single sniff blows my mind away into the land of smoked cheese, autumn orchards, baked pears, dill, freshly baked bread, chalk and white flowers. A single sip invites me to hop on a cloud. It's a delicious combination of creamy texture, racy acids and body. The aftertaste is long; it evolves on a chalky and salty palate. The fruit and minerality sing along as partners and not rivals.
