Blind tasting. Named Pinot Nero from Northern Italy, but turned out to be Carmenere. Unexpected! Wet leaves, cherry, black fruits, jam, vanilla. Heavy oak influence. Silky, jammy with long aftertaste. Lacks balance and complexity, but still good.
