La Saponaire - 2021

This is a wine for a specific mood, one that some might say requires instructions to fully appreciate its chaotic yet charming combinations. Yet I don't care. The nose reveals pear candy, citrus, crème brûlée, a touch of sea breeze, and white flowers. Despite the amount of descriptors, it's not overly complex. And on the palate, it begins with a stony-creamy texture and a seemingly short and flat profile. However, it unexpectedly evolves into a delicate finish with intriguing flavors of gin, pebbles, and moss. That's the soapweed for you!
