Of course, comparing wines is not something we should do. But drinking Lamiable after Bründlmayer is an illustration of the latter’s wine qualities. Objectively, Eclat d’Étoiles is a good and nice wine. A mainstream crowd-pleaser with bright aromas and a slightly sweet palate. And all that for a decent (?) price. Red berries, dog rose, flowers and butter. Round and fresh.

Haha, I tasted it blind but didn’t guess Champagne here. I thought it was some traditional sparkling from other regions. Well, at least it was fun. Red berries, yeast, flowers and a touch of wet earth. Good structure and acidity with a long aftertaste. The flavours transform from strawberries topped with cream to cranberry with wet stones with a subtle Jerez touch. After reading my own notes I don’t understand why I didn’t guess it.
