After tasting the 2015 Ego, I hesitated to open the 2013 vintage. However, unlike its successor, the 2013 is less pompous and lacks vulgarity. On the downside, it comes across as somewhat faceless, ironically. This vintage offers a greater presence of fruit, complemented by spices and oak. While it lacks complexity, it is at least well-balanced. The palate is fresh, narrow, and straightforward—juicy and easy to understand.
