Now I need to apologise for calling Pinot Nero a deputy's wine. That was a warm-up before the real thing. Meet Ego! Pepper, vegetables, black fruits. No complex explosion to accompany heavy food. Borch with prune. Tannin is harsh. The wine is heavy and not exciting. But it's juicy, clean and easy to understand.
